Please select one course from Course 1 list, and the 2nd course from the Course 2 list. One course you will sit the exam and attempt any assessment. Course 2 you will be required to write a project report.
The AMSI Summer School 2027 program enables students to take up to two intensive Honours/Postgraduate level courses during the four-week period. AMSI Summer School is only provided once a year for credit. In 2027, Summer School returns to a four-week in person event hosted by UNSW Sydney, School of Mathematics and Statistics from January 11 to February 5 2027 (virtual participation also available but in person preferred).
Enrolment in MATH5015 at UNSW for Mathematics and Statistics Students will be during Term 1 only (not the Summer term @ UNSW) overloading in Term 1 is permitted and we be activated by the School. Please view the school-based AMSI Guidelines for more information.
The AMSI website, opens in a new window provides the courses offered information and you will need to choose two courses; 1 of which you need to sit the exam for and the 2nd course will require a written project for final assessment, the mark will be counted towards your UNSW MATH5015 AMSI course.
Once you select the two AMSI courses, please follow advice below.
Honours students are required to discuss their courses selections with their Supervisor and receive written approval from their Honours Coordinator before registering for enrolment within the AMSI website. The next step is to complete the webform linked below so that enrolment in UNSW course MATH5015 can be provided (T1 2027) and confirmation provided to advise the course will count toward your Honours program. Masters students use the pg.MathsStats@unsw.edu.au email account to seek approval to count toward their program. Once approval is granted, please register your enrolments with in the AMSI website. The next step is to complete the webform linked below so that enrolment in UNSW MATH5015 can be provided (T1 2027) and confirmation provided to show the course will count toward your program.
It is important that you require enrolment with AMSI on their site as well as application to the School of Mathematics and Statistics using the webform. Please select your chosen courses in this webform, ensure you meet the appropriate AMSI and School Deadlines.
AMSI courses registration fee is refunded by the School when MATH5015 has a pass mark and is counted toward your program, at the end of Term 1 2027.
